Japanese Proverbs: Go Into the Tiger’s Cage

Here is another great Japanese proverbs to help you learn Japanese.

It won’t help you with the JLPT N5 but it is fun to learn.

虎穴に入らずんば虎子を得ず。
こけつにいらずんばこじをえず。

Koketsu ni irazunba koji wo ezu.

  • Translation: If you do not enter the tiger’s cave, you will not catch its cub.
  • Similar English Proverb: No pain, no gain.

Meaning: If you don’t take risks you will not gain anything. You can only get what you want if you take risks.
